The Kingdom of Saul did not last for long because he disobeyed God and did not live a pleasing life before Him. Saul did what was right in his fleshly eyes, other than being obedient to the voice of the Lord.
The Kingdom of David stood firm not because of his ability but only because he lived a life that pleased God. Therefore his kingdom stood firm only because God was with him and made him a successful king.
WHAT DELIGHTS GOD?
God said through Samuel, “Does the Lord Delight in Burnt offerings & sacrifices
as much as obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and
to heed is better than the fat of rams.” (1 Samuel 15:22)
God expects us to listen to his voice and obey so that He can be delighted & firm our Steps. Therefore let us turn to God
as in the parable of the lost son. (Luke 15:11-32)He will restore us and bless
us!
Amen!
